Electricity Restored to Most of Stoneham
Eversource Energy reports that power will be restored to the rest of the city by 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Electricity in Stoneham was restored to most of the city by Tuesday night after storms left large swathes of the community and the Boston area without power.

Eversource Energy was showing only 25 Stoneham customers without power on its outage map at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. The electric utility reported on Twitter that it estimated electricity would be restored to all of its customers by 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Earlier in the day, Eversource, which supplies electricity to the Boston area, reported that 887 of Stoneham’s 10,615 customers were without power.

Overall, there were as many as about 7,000 Boston-area customers without power because of the storm.
