Hallmark Health System to offer Healthy Heart series

 

The Hallmark Health System Cardiac & Endovascular Center is offering two lectures over the next few months that will focus on preventing heart disease, healthy nutrition and managing stress

The first lecture will be held Thursday, May 24, 6 to 8 p.m., at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Perkins Lecture Hall. Khether Raby, MD, an interventional cardiologist at the Cardiac & Endovascular Center, and Ginger Verge, RN, will discuss the signs, symptoms and prevention of heart disease as well as the latest in diagnostic testing and treatment.

The second and final lecture will be held on Thursday, June 14, 6 to 8 p.m., at Doucet Remodeling & Design, 1 Central St. in Stoneham. Learn how heart healthy food preparation can lead to a healthy heart from Hallmark Health System’s chef Peter Giuliano and Jillian Pollock, RD, LDN. Watch live demonstrations and learn nutritional tips. There will be food samplings and take home heart healthy recipes.
