Hallmark Health to offer cancer screening

Do you know the risk factors for oral, head and neck cancer? If you answered no than you could benefit from Hallmark Health’s oral, head and neck cancer screening on Wednesday, July 20, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Hallmark Health Hematology & Oncology Center, 41 Montvale Ave. in Stoneham.

People who use tobacco and alcohol are at a greater risk for developing these cancers than those people that use each alone. Over the past decade, an increasing number of young, non-smokers have developed mouth and throat cancer associated with the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). In the United States in 2008, more than 47,000 cases of these cancers were diagnosed.
