The Stoneham Historical Society is pleased to have Kenneth Gloss, proprietor of the nationally known Brattle Book Shop in Boston's Downtown Crossing, as the guest speaker at the March 15 meeting. All the fun begins at 7:30 PM at the Meeting Hall on 36 William Street (across from the historic brick school building). Gloss will bring several examples of interesting books, magazines and ephemera from the store's private collection - such as examples of old LIFE magazines, a 1912 World Series scorecard and a sales brochure for the Titanic. Following the lecture, he will answer questions and give free appraisals, so don't come empty handed. This promised to be an enlightening presentation with free input from a reknown expert.
