Walking Tour of Historic Lindenwood Cemetery

Many Stoneham Victorians chose Lindenwood, consecrated in 1861, as their final resting place. Amasa Farrier, town surveyor, designed the winding paths. Edward T. Whittier, editor, and Joseph Leeds, merchant, were ardent spiritualists. Abraham Davis, a fugitive slave who joined the Union Navy, lived in Stoneham after the Civil War.

Join Dee Morris, historian, for a walking tour of the Victorian section of Lindenwood. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Stoneham Public Library.
