Alicia Christofi-Walshe, a Stoneham native and dance artist currently based in Ireland will be performing in Boston next week! Alicia will be performing her new work, Cnoic Chlaonta, a piece choreographed in collaboration with Irish dance artist Ailish Claffey, at Club Oberon in Cambridge January 22nd and 23rd as part of a shared evening of dance with Boston's Zoe Dance and trans-Atlanic dance company, expandance.
Cnoic Chlaonta is an unorthodox tale of a modern Ireland, with striking choreography and with original music by Tom Lane and costume by Petra Hjortsberg. This work has been generously supported by Dance Ireland, Culture Ireland, and Wicklow County Council.
