Stoneham High Student Killed in Crash
Sydney Coiro, 16, died in a crash near Stone Zoo early Sunday morning.
The Stoneham community is reeling after news that a 16-year-old Stoneham High student was killed in a crash on Pond Street near the Stone Zoo early Sunday morning.
Sydney Coiro was killed when the 2000 Ford Explorer she was driving rolled over on Pond Street.
A makeshift memorial at a tree in front of the Stone Zoo parking lot featured balloons, flowers, and a picture of Coiro with other girls.

The writing on one balloon said "Heaven gained a new angel" with a heart.
At 12:42 a.m., State Troopers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Pond Street. The driver, Coiro, was pronounced dead the scene.

The crash is being investigated.
