Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 14

1. All aboard! The Stoneham Historical Society will meet briefly at 7:45 p.m. at 36 William St., followed by Doug Carrier's presentation on trolleys and why they came to Stoneham years ago. Carrier is a volunteer docent from Seashore Trolley Museum. The presentation is free and open to the public.

2. Get socialized: If this is your first visit to Stoneham Patch, you should know that you can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter. We'll provide updates and have other content you won't always find on the website so make sure to "like" and "follow" our pages to be kept up to speed on the latest happenings in and around town.

3. Colon cancer awareness: A health educator from Community Health Institute is expected to provide seniors with educational materials at 11 a.m. at the Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm St. Seniors can bring home a pre-screening kit that can be processed free of charge by the hospital. To reserve a seat to the free presentation, call 781-438-1157.

4. Encore! The Edwards Twins will be performing a new act filled called "That 70s Show" with impersonations of celebrities such as Frankie Valli, Roy Orbison, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, Barbara Streisand, and Sonny & Cher at the , 395 Main St. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Theatre's website or by calling 781-279-2200.
