Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 30

1. Health event: The runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Stoneham Town Hall, 35 Central St., Stoneham. Several health professionals will be guest speakers during the free event, which features demonstrations, exhibitors, free health screenings, prizes and raffles. 

2. How romantic: Stoneham-based is providing books for a featuring more than 40 romance authors from the New England Chapter of The Romance Writers of America scheduled for 4-5:30 p.m. at Hawthorne Hotel, 18 Washington Square W, Salem. 

3. Musical performance: Sushi Island, 397 Main St.,Wakefield is expected to have live jazz from 6:15-9:15 p.m.
