Winter coat weather: There's a possibility snow showers hit town around 11 a.m. and noon, followed by rain showers in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Stoneham. It is expected to be mostly cloudy with temperatures topping out near 39 degrees and an overnight low of 30. Wind generally will be mild, gusting at seven to nine miles per hour.
2. Food for the soul: , 9 Pomeworth St., is hosting a Parish Chicken Soup Dinner at 7 p.m. in Our Lady of Providence Hall. The free meal includes homemade chicken soup, cornbread and other surprises. Contact the rectory office at 781-438-0960 so the Parish will know how much food to prepare for the group.
