Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 1

1. Walk for a cause: The is slated to run from 10 a.m.-noon at Lake Quannapowitt, 99 Lake St., Wakefield. The walkers will be lymphoma survivors, friends, family, community and corporate teams. Funds raised by walkers will benefit the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Registration for the event is scheduled for 9-10 a.m.

2. Shout it out loud: Karaoke with Kimba J. is scheduled to run from 8:30-11:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Tavern, 595 North Ave., Wakefield.

3. Church services: Here are some of the worship services being offered in town:

• Mass is celebrated at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon at , 9 Pomeworth St.
• Worship services at 10 a.m. at , 79 Central St.
• Worship services at 10 a.m. at , 1 Church St.
