Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 26

1. Coming to an end: After being , Stoneham resident Mark Kerrigan is at 9 a.m. in Middlesex County Superior Court. Kerrigan, who was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter Wednesday, may have to serve up to 2 1/2 years in prison. Kerrigan was on trial for allegedly causing the death of his 70-year-old father Daniel Kerrigan on Jan. 24, 2010 in the family's home in Stoneham.

2. Coping with the pain: Amy Lord of Mystic Valley Elder Services is expected to talk with seniors about the different ways to manage chronic illnesses from 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm St., Stoneham.

3. Who wants to hear a story?  will provide children ages 3 1/2 and older with a storytime program and the opportunity to make simple crafts from 10:30-11:15 a.m. in the Children's Room. The program is free and open to the public. 

4. Take in a show: The play  starts at 7:30 p.m. at the . The play is about Peggy Sawyer, a small town chorus girl who gets the opportunity to show what she can do on stage after the star of the show breaks an ankle.
