Get Out and See A Movie

Each week, we'll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

When was the last time you went to a movie theater without children to see an adult picture? Have you had a chance to see the new movie, "Lincoln Lawyers" or is "Rango" the only movie you have seen lately?

Movies are a great way to escape to another world, get lost in a story or live vicariously through someone else. You could rent, but going there gets you out of the house. Whether you go alone, with a friend or a husband, just find a time when your children will be over a friend’s house or when grandma insists she takes the children for a couple of hours.

If you're concerned about the high cost of a ticket when renting is more economical, then here’s a great deal. On Tuesdays, you can go to the Showcase Cinemas Woburn, 25 Middlesex Canal Park Dr. for only $6. That low price is for all afternoon and evening performances, even 3-D films.

Don't worry if you can’t get out on Tuesdays, because every other day, all shows before 6 p.m. are only $8. After 6 p.m, the price increases to $10.50. 3-D movies unfortunately are $12.50 before 6 p.m. and go up to $15. Ouch!

The movies, showtimes and prices are listed on the National Amusements website. You can buy online, but you pay $1 more per ticket.
