Hey Stoneham, Make Sure and Cast Your Vote Tuesday
Voting opens at 7 a.m. at Town Hall Auditorium on Central Street.

Maybe you've heard, but there's an election Tuesday. Don't let a Labor Day weekend hangover or thoughts of the Patriots opener get in the way. Tuesday, Sept. 4 is all about the Massachusetts State Primary. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium, 35 Central Street.
The drama may not come until November but that's no excuse to wait to vote. Stoneham Selectwoman Caroline Colarusso is running unopposed on the Republican ballot for State Representative in the 31st Middlesex District. Incumbent and fellow Stoneham resident Mike Day is doing the same on the Democratic side.
There are contested offices on the ballot Tuesday including governor, lieutenant governor, district attorney, secretary of state, US Senator, and democratic state senate for the 5th District (Jason Lewis vs. Samantha Haggar).
