How Stoneham Water Main Break May Affect You

A release from the Town of Stoneham:

There was a water main break in Stoneham today, Friday, May 3rd. As the MWRA works to isolate the main and reroute the water, residents in Stoneham, Reading, Wakefield, Winchester, Wilmington and Woburn may have discolored water.

If discolored water does occur, please do not do laundry at this time, as it could stain light colored clothing. Residents should wait for the water to clear before using it.

The MWRA said Saturday morning water pressure remains good and repairs should begin early in the afternoon.
