It's A Boy! Stoneham Police Help Deliver Baby On Thanksgiving
The mother and her third child were reportedly happy and healthy, and received a visit from Stoneham police officers Friday.

STONEHAM, MA -- A woman and her newborn baby had two extra reasons to be thankful Thursday night: Stoneham Police Officers Christopher Murphy and Michael Colotti, who helped her deliver her baby in her home when they realized they would not be able to transport her to the hospital in time.
Stoneham Police received a call at 10:58 om Thanksgiving night that a woman had gone into labor at her Pleasant Street home. The officers were able to help the woman onto her back, propped her up on pillows and helped her deliver a healthy, baby boy.
"I'm proud of Officers Murphy and Colotti for their calm and professional response last night," Stoneham Police Chief James McIntyre said in a statement Friday. "This isn't something that happens every day, and I want to congratulate the new mother and father on the birth of their son."

Action Ambulance and the Stoneham Fire Department transported mom and baby to Winchester Hospital. Several Stoneham police officer stopped by to visit the family on Friday, according to the statement.
