James McIntyre Passes Away

Longtime Stoneham resident worked as a carpenter for 40 years.

James E. McIntyre of Stoneham passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years of age.

Born on January 25, 1938 in East Boston, James is the loving son of the late Clarence McIntyre and Eva (LeBlanc) McIntyre. James is a warm and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James worked for 40 years as a carpenter. In addition to marrying his wife Paula, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and passing along his knowledge of woodworking. James was particularly proud of the accomplishments of his 3 children. He will forever be remembered for his dry sense of humor and his willingness to help others.

James is the beloved husband for 50 years of Paula (Keane) McIntyre. He is the devoted father of James T. McIntyre and his wife Denise, Paul McIntyre and his wife Kerry and Shawn McIntyre and his wife Jennifer. The cherished grandfather of Lauren, Erin, Julia, Conor and Gavin, James is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28), Stoneham, Thursday, May 3rd at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating James' Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday May 2nd from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
