John Joseph Saia Passes Away
Longtime Stoneham resident served in the United States Air Force.

John Joseph Saia of Stoneham and Wells, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. He was 76 years of age.
Born on October 25, 1942 in Boston, John was the loving son of the late Joseph Saia and Josephine (DeSimone) Saia. John was a warm and caring son, brother, father, brother in law, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed.
John retired from the M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory. He is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force (MAANG) with 30 dedicated years of Military Service.

John is the beloved husband of Dolores (DiSalvo) Saia. He is the father of John "Jay" Saia, Jr. and Jeanine M. Saia. The dear brother of the late George Saia and his surviving wife Isabella, John is the loving brother in law of Diana DiSalvo and the caring uncle of Joseph Saia and Jennifer Chacon.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham, Monday, Nov. 5th at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating John's Eternal Life in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St. Malden at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Sunday, Nov. 4th from 1-5 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
