'Look Who's Cooking Dinner Tonight!'
Stoneham High students cook and serve Community Dinner

It wasn’t the menu that was unusual. It was who baked and prepared the meal for the 50-some guests at the Community Dinner last Tuesday at the Congregational Church in Stoneham.
Delicious baked meat ziti, tossed garden salad, home-made rolls and brownies—all prepared by students in the culinary arts class at Stoneham High School, and served by students in the Interact Club at the school.
“We were happy to participate in the Community Dinner program,” said Kimberly O’Connor, culinary arts instructor and advisor to the Interact Club. The weekly free-dinner program is now in its 23rd year, supported by churches and businesses in Stoneham.

High school students helping out were Nicole Aronson, Catherine Seibold, Annalisa Eramo, Justin Sorabella and Eoin Dooley.
“I think it’s so great that these students are engaging with the community,” said Kathy Bardell, who chairs the dinners’ steering committee. “I was honored that they could join us.”

Last week’s dinner was sponsored by a team of employees from StonehamBank, who serve and clean up on the first Tuesday of each month. Also on hand to help were members of Rotary Club of Stoneham.
