Man Accused Of Scamming Stoneham Residents Charged
A North Shore contractor faces 78 fraud charges

A North Shore contractor accused of scamming Stoneham residents has been indicted on 78 counts including fraud and money laundering, the The Salem News reports.
They say that Jaime Ford, of Middleton, was indicted on Wednesday. Prosecutors say 16 people in Stoneham, Lowell, North Andover, Hudson, Westborough, Southborough, Cambridge, and Chelmsford hired his companies for home-improvement projects that Ford was not licensed to perform. They allege he claimed to be licensed but used other contractors’ identities to receive permits and forged their names on paperwork.
Prosecutors also say Ford stole $200,000 from a senior citizen and left her Beverly home in ruins.
