The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is a regional planning agency serving the people who live and work in the 101 cities and towns of Metro Boston. Their mission is to promote smart growth and regional collaboration.

The subregion meets annually in June to develop the work plan for the next fiscal year. Attend this meeting to propose topics and projects for inclusion in the FY15 program. Following a discussion about the work plan, we will depart for a walk of a portion of the Tri-Community Greenway in Stoneham. Please RSVP:jerickson@mapc.org

  • 10:15 am: Depart from Town Hall for a walking tour of a portion of the Greenway in Stoneham; the tour will end back at Town Hall between 11:30 am and noon.

The total tour will be about 2.6 miles; bring comfortable shoes and water. Snacks will be provided. The tour will be led by MAPCTransportation Planner David Loutzenheiser and members of the Stoneham Greenway Committee; and Friends of the Tri-Community Greenway.
