Michael Cappuccio Memorial Scholarship

"Thank you from the Cappuccio Family!"

Where do we begin? How do we ever show our gratitude…how do we say thank you? Sunday was the most amazing out pouring of friendship support, but most of all love from each and every one of you!

Business’ in Stoneham and surrounding towns, families, friends and complete strangers donated so many things to help support the Scholarship in Michael’s name
.
And then there were all of you, from the kids who skated in the Jamboree, coached on the bench or sat in the stands to watch all of his friends skate for him, Matteo for donating his time to DJ….and each of you who came to take part in the raffles or just to say hi
The family skate was a huge success; I have never seen so many people skating all at once in that rink before.
We can not thank Lou enough for giving us the day so that everyone could be together and share in the memory of Michael.

The committee: Ronaine Sparco, Tricia Halpin, Nancy Toussaint, Annie Tufts, Theresa Shannon, Janine LoVuolo, Cheryl Kozlowski and Helaine Penney worked their asses off to make it the most amazing day!!! I cannot and will not take credit for any of it….they did it all from start to finish….I have the best friends anyone could ever ask for.

Our family, friends and my coworkers, even my boss got up early on a Sunday morning to come to a cold rink to help set up and man a table. Even our long time family friend who donated all the balloons (Maggie Giannasca) and whose car did not start that morning…scrambled to find someone to get her there with the balloons and she did it in record time! I think I would have given up, had I been her!!
The Bragalone family showed up at the house at 8 AM to drop off a van to shuttle all the gift baskets and raffles to the rink… (You are awesome!)

So many people did so much and I will never be able to list you all. The basket donations were amazing…the raffle prizes were amazing….I know you all have to agree!

Jenn Plourde and Alyssa Cappuccio, as well as Mrs. Kelley took hundreds of pictures of that day!!! Once I get them I will post them so you all can see them!!!

And just when I thought that day could not get better….

The Sullivan Family from Wilmington approached me to tell me that on January 14, 2015 when Stoneham Varsity Hockey plays Wilmington Varsity Hockey at Wilmington @ 8PM….Wilmington will play that game in honor of Michael Cappuccio.
Glenn Sullivan is goalie for Wilmington and knew my boys for years, he put this together for Michael…..we are at a lost for words! The love and support is everywhere. There really are no words!

But the one thing that I will forever hold in my heart is that was a day that I watched my son and husband smile more than I have seen in the past 7 months….and that made me smile!....It was because of you all that they were smiling….how do I thank anyone for that?

All I can say is Thank You…from the bottom of my heart for helping keep Michael’s memory alive with us. The money raised for the Scholarship is what Michael would have wanted...his love of hockey and to help someone who needs it.
Please know that we are forever grateful for the love and support that you all give us each and everyday.

Lisalana, Anthony, Anthony and Michael Cappuccio
