Nicholas Shannon Passes Away

Stoneham resident played in the band The Sunset Kings.

Nicholas Joseph Shannon of Stoneham passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12. He was 26 years of age.

Born on October 4, 1991 in Malden, Nicholas is the beloved and devoted son of Joseph P. Shannon and Theresa (Devereaux) Shannon. Nicholas is a loved and caring son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Nicholas is the cherished brother of Matthew Hughes and his wife Hannah, Scott Shannon and Joseph Shannon. The grandson of Donald and Marie Devereaux and the late Joan Jenkins, he is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nicholas loved life. He loved playing hockey and music. He played in the band The Sunset Kings.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28), Stoneham, Thursday, Aug. 16th at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Nicholas' Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, Aug. 15th from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
