Parker Will Help Town Residents and Businesses Succeed

In a Letter to the Editor, resident says Parker can encourage the type of long term fiscal planning that our town needs.

A Letter to the Editor from Matt Shirley:

The upcoming Stoneham Board of Selectmen race is quickly coming to a close on April 3rd, and every voter should ask: which candidate best represents the future I want for my town? Incumbent board members Caroline Colaruso and Tom Boussey have no doubt worked hard in their tenure as public servants, but what do they stand for? We need a person who’s committed to helping town residents and businesses succeed, not someone who dedicates town time and resources to frivolous political and ideological games such as claiming sole responsibility for blocking affordable housing developments and pot shops, or who calls for investigations into town finance and election fraud where no fraud is discovered. The “trash fee waiver” warrant article up for vote at May town meeting demonstrates a willingness to plunder our town’s finances for short term political gain. We deserve to be treated as more than a stepping stone on the political path to State Representative. I believe Raymie Parker is capable of fostering an inclusive community, and can encourage the type of long term fiscal planning that our town needs. If that sounds like what you think Stoneham needs I encourage you to support her candidacy for Stoneham Selectwoman.
