Perkins Street Motorcycle Accident Sends Man to Hospital

The motorcycle rider suffered "road rash" injuries, according to the Stoneham Fire Department.

A man was transported to Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle accident on Perkins Street in Stoneham.

According to Capt. Jim Marshall of the , the accident happened at around 12 p.m. near 90 Perkins St.

The motorcycle rider, whom Marshall suspected was in his 20s, lost control of his motorcycle and suffered mostly "road rash" injuries, according to the fire captain.

He was the only person involved in the accident, Marshall said, and he was transported to the hospital in an ambulance. The Melrose Fire Department assisted in the incident, Marshall said.
