STONEHAM — While the results were mixed Tuesday night for the basketball teams, one thing is certain: Both teams played hard against visiting .
The Lady Spartans continue to dominate Middlesex League teams, beating Lexington, 52-45. Stoneham had four players tally at least 10 points in the contest, led by Vanessa Bramante's 14 markers.
The girls' team currently sits in third place in the league standings at 12-2 and 14-2 overall.

Meanwhile, the boys' basketball squad stumbled against Lexington, losing 67-52. The struggles continue for Stoneham (3-15 overall), which is tied with Belmont for last place in the division with a 2-12 record.
