Photos: A Look Back At Lady Spartans' Hockey Season
While their season came to a close Wednesday night in Walpole, the Stoneham High School girls' hockey team still had a successful year overall.
The girls' hockey team saw their season come to an end Wednesday night after falling at the hands of the Lady Rebels of Walpole High, 5-3, in the preliminary round of the state tournament.
Despite the setback, the Lady Spartans fought hard until the final seconds ticked off the clock on their 2010-11 season.
Stoneham finishes the season with an overall mark of 8-7-2 and a young talented group that promises to make some noise in future postseason play should the core stay together and continue to develop.
