PHOTOS: Stoneham Bests Melrose on the Road
The Stoneham High School girls' soccer team and Melrose High met on the pitch at Pine Banks Park Monday in Melrose, with the Lady Spartans going home with a 1-0 victory.
The girls' soccer team and met on the pitch at in Melrose Monday to battle it out in girls soccer. It was a back-and-forth game with no score until midway through the second half, when Stoneham's Ali Kruse scored. Kruse was crossing the ball when it bounced off a goalpost and went in, giving the Lady Spartans the 1-0 victory.
