Police Log: Stoneham Man Arrested on A Dozen Warrants

At 3:32 p.m. Sept. 26, Stoneham Police responded to Rowe Hill Road to check on a possible larceny suspect. The suspect allegedly stole a wallet and pocketbook from staff members at South Elementary School sometime between 2-2:45 p.m., according to police. Demetrius Tragiou, 31, of 544 Main St., Stoneham, was arrested on a dozen warrants charging him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unarmed robbery, threat to commit a crime, assault and battery on a police officer, two counts of assault and battery, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of resisting arrest and two counts of trespassing.

@10:16 a.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on High Street. Paul Bradley, 28, of 95 High St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense. He was also arrested on a warrant charging him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

@2:02 p.m.: A woman visited the police station to report a hit-and-run incident. Her vehicle was struck while parked on Oak Street, according to police. A report was taken.

@2:41 p.m.: Police called to Middle Street for a report of two dogs running down the street carrying a dead cat. Police to file a report.

@3:03 p.m.: A woman visited the police station to return a reportedly stolen Sprint Galaxy 2 cell phone that she bought for $200 off of Craigslist. No arrest noted.

@4:54 p.m.: Police went to a Pond Street home to speak with a resident about making sure his dogs are secure at night.The reason for the visit was a nearby resident believes the two dogs ate her two pet rabbits sometime overnight, according to police.

Sept. 27

@8:27 a.m.: Police called to Central Street for a report of a package of hypodermic needles found in the street.

@8:35 a.m.: Police responded to Hall Road on a report of a hit-and-run incident. A vehicle hit a fence and then left the area, according to police. Police to file a report.

@7:38 p.m.: Police called to Sal's Pizza on Main Street for a report of a counterfeit bill received by the restaurant. A report was taken.
