POLICE LOG: Hazmat Team Investigates Suspicious White Powder

At 8:15 p.m. May 14, a Stoneham man visits the police station after receiving an envelope with a  inside. Five members of the Hazmat East Team were brought in within 30 minutes to access the situation. One exposure was reported at an undisclosed address in town. The resident was told to remain inside. No injuries or illnesses have been reported. As of May 18, the hazmat team was still analyzing the powder.

@12:26 a.m.: Police respond to  on a report of a loud group of kids near the swingset at the upper playground. The kids were moved from the area.

@10:40 a.m.: Police called to Whittemore Lane for a report of a minor two-car accident. Police assistance was requested, as one of the drivers didn't have a license and was summonsed for operating a car without one.

@10:45 p.m.: Police respond to , 425 Main St., for a report of theft. The report stated that one or more theives entered the store, grabbed a bottle of vodka and ran out.

May 15

@11:40 a.m.: Police called to Rustic Road for a report of a sick raccoon in the street. The animal control unit was brought in to remove the animal.

May 16

@9:51 a.m.: Police respond to Buttonwood Road for complaints of vandalism. Two vehicles were egged, but no damage was reported.

@11:18 a.m.: Police respond to downed power lines on Sunrise Street. A truck went by and accidently pulled some Verizon cable wires down. Police contacted Verizon, who promised to repair the lines.

May 17

@11:18 a.m.: Police respond to Tony's Tiles, 607 Main St., for a report of vandalism. The report stated there was, "a hole in (the) window - possibly from a BB."

@4:48 p.m.: Police arrest Ericka Dillion, 22, of 54 Washington Ave., Stoneham, on a charging her with larceny over $250.
