Police Log: Man Searches for Food in Dunkin' Donuts Dumpster

On Jan. 6 at 2:45 a.m., Stoneham Police respond to Dunkin' Donuts on Lynn Fells Parkway for a report of a suspicious man with a light that hid behind a Dumpster. The man was reportedly looking for food in the Dumpster. No arrest was made.

@12:13 p.m.: Police called to Main Street on a report of a past hit-and-run. The victim claims their vehicle was struck sometime around 2 p.m. on Jan. 1.

@12:49 p.m.: Police called to Congress Street on a report from a property owner that there is illegal dumping happening in the lot.

@2:39 p.m.: Police respond to Main Street for a report of a past larceny. A man claims his medication was stolen from his jacket which was hanging on the bck of a chair. Police to investigate.

@3:13 p.m.: Police respond to Broadway following a box alarm activation for a possible house or shed fire. However, it turned out to be a brush fire. The box alarm was recalled at 3:20 p.m.

Jan. 5

@1:05 p.m.: Police called to the area of Hill Street and Marble Street on a report of a motor vehicle crash. No tows were necessary, as both parties exchanged paperwork.

@2:42 p.m.: Police flagged down by a pedestrian on Main Street for a report of a hypodermic needle found in the area. The needle was recovered and disposed of properly.

Jan. 6

@11:04 a.m.: Police respond to Mountain View Drive on a report of a past larceny. A resident claims a family member stole jewelry from the home. Police to investigate.

@3:17 p.m.: A woman reports losing her wallet inside .

@3:25 p.m.: Police called to the store on Main Street for a report of a lost or stolen purse. Police to investigate.
