POLICE LOG: Man Seen Watching Stoneham Pool With Binoculars
A caller told police they saw an older man watching people at Hall Memorial Swimming Pool with binoculars from the roadway.

On Tuesday, July 17, Stoneham police responded to a call about a man who may have been spying on the recreational pool, a small brush fire and a report of fireworks.

@1:42 p.m.: Police received a call for a middle-aged, balding man in a light blue or grey minivan using binoculars to look across the roadway toward Hall Memorial Swimming Pool with binoculars. An officer checked the area but found no evidence of the minivan or man.
@4:42 p.m.: A brush fire at the Middlesex Fells Reservation was handled by the police and fire departments. Firefighters contained the fire near the Sheepfold parking lot.
