Police Log: Melrose Man Arrested on Warrants at Furniture World

At 7:11 p.m. Aug. 29, Stoneham Police responded to Furniture World on Main Street for a report of problems with a customer. Alex Baker, 28, of 230 Essex St., Melrose, was arrested on warrants charging him with having an uninsured motor vehicle/trailer, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failing to stop/yield, according to police.

@2:44 a.m.: Police called to San Jose Terrace for a report of a disturbance. A mother told police that her daughter was being chased in her vehicle by a group of girls, according to police. Cheryl Rios, 47, of 24 San Jose Terrace, Stoneham, was arrested on a warrant charging her with larceny over $250.

@10:54 a.m.: Police responded to Poplar Street after the animal control officer reported a dog had attacked a skunk. Police to file a report.

@9:57 p.m.: Police removed skateboarders from the gazebo at Stoneham Town Common.

Aug. 30

@6:11 p.m.: Police responded to Gavin Circle for a report of soliciting. The caller reported people soliciting paving, according to police.

@6:22 p.m.: Police called to the area of Elm and Oak Streets for a report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury. One person declined medical transport, according to police.

@8:55 p.m.: Police called to the area of Main Street and Richardson Lane for a report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury. One tow and one transport to Winchester.
