Police Log: Officers Search for Two Suspects Accused of Stealing More Than $1K in Glasses from LensCrafters

Dec. 11

@2:18 a.m.: Police respond to Franklin Street for a report of a domestic in a motor vehicle. Officers attempted to arrest suspect at home, but not there. A summons was sought, and the suspect turned himself in at the police station at 11:46 a.m. Linh Pham, 38, of 203 Webster St., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

@9:11 a.m.: Police respond to Whip Hill Park on a report of empty UPS delivery boxes found in a lot. The caller was concerned the packages may have been stolen from someone's porch. Police picked up the items, contacted the adressees and informed them about the situation and to contact their credit card companies to possibly re-order the items.

@10:10 a.m.: Police called to the Magnolia Terrace and Sunrise Avenue area for a report of a wire down. Police attempted to contact RCN about the cable wire, but the number in dispatch was disconnected.

@2:07 p.m.: Police called to LensCrafters on Main Street for a larceny in progress. The suspects, described as a "large black man and small black female," allegedly stole three pairs of eye glasses valued at more than $1,000 and fled the store in a green Ford Explorer with Massachusetts license plates. The duo were last seen heading north on Route 28. Information was provided to neighboring communities. No arrests reported.

@3:11 p.m.: A person filed a report at the police station about a woman, driving a Red SUV, that hit their vehicle without stopping in the area of Central and Elm Streets. Police to investigate.

@8:03 p.m.: Police respond to Franklin Street and Stevens Street area on a report of a two-car accident. The drivers were outside their vehicles arguing, and police assisted with the paper exchange. No injuries were reported.

Dec. 12

@12:43 p.m.: Police called to Bonad Road on a report of a house that was broken into. Police to investigate.

@2:38 p.m.: Police called to Stonehill Drive on a report of a road rage incident. Problem resolved and a report was taken. No arrests made.

@5:09 p.m.: Police respond to Flints Avenue for a report of a past breaking and entering. Police to investigate.

@6:02 p.m.: Police called to a Main Street apartment following a box alarm activation. Burnt food in a second-floor apartment was the culprit. The smoke was cleared from the building and the box alarm recalled at 6:22 p.m.

@6:08 p.m.: Police respond to Lawndale Road on a report of a disturbance. A man reports his ex-wife is in his residence and isn't welcome. The man declined medical treatment and Deirdre Devine, 40, of 25 Norman Road, Melrose, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

@7:13 p.m.: Police arrested Dawn Bongiorno, 29, of 37 Lookoff St., at the on Main Street on a warrant charging her with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

@11:52 p.m.: Police respond to Benton Street for a report of a disturbance. A woman called claiming her boyfriend is drunk and assaulting her. Jason Docanto, 23, of 7 Benton St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with disorderly conducted and assault and battery on a police officer.
