POLICE LOG: Stoneham Man Accused of Assaulting Wife

At 8:19 p.m. Sept. 18, Stoneham Police responded to Mountain View Drive for a report of a domestic. The caller reported his mother was being hit by his father, according to police. The woman was taken to Winchester Hospital, according to police. Yong Li, 44, of 23 Mountain View Dr., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

@8:56 a.m.: Police called to the area of Calthea and Washington Streets for a report of a larceny. The caller reported a bronze plaque was stolen sometime over the weekend, according to police. Police took a photograph of the spot where the plaque was stolen from. Police to file a report.

@9:11 a.m.: Police called to Washington Avenue for a report of a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. The caller reported the vehicle was entered and the glove box was ransacked, accoding to police. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. Police to file a report.

@1:47 p.m.: Police called to the Sheepfold area of the Middlesex Fells Reservation on a report of a dog bite. Police to file a report.

@2:54 p.m.: Police responded to Round's Hardware for a report of a larceny. The caller reported scrap metal was stolen, according to police. Police to file a report.

@4:58 p.m.: Police called to Pond Street for a report of two dogs that allegedly attacked a cat, which later died. The incident took place on Sept. 16, according to police. Police to file a report.
