Police Log: Stoneham Man Accused of Drunk Driving on Central Street

On Jan. 7 at 2:51 a.m., Stoneham Police conduct a motor vehicle stop on Central Street. Daniel McCarthy, 35, of 115 Central St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, not in possession of registration, alcohol from an open container in motor vehicle and two counts of failing to stop or yield.

@8:53 a.m.: Police called to Main Street on a report of vandalism to a vehicle. A rock was reportedly thrown threw the vehicle's window. Police to investigate.
@9:48 a.m.: Police respond to Wright Street for a report of unauthorized transactions at the resident's bank. Log entry only and no investigation to follow.

@12:35 p.m.: Police called to Westwood Road for a report of past larceny. The resident claims ID theft out of state. Police to investigate.
@4:55 p.m.: Police respond to Spring Street on a report of a drunk man lying in the driveway. The man was taken to .
@6:33 p.m.: Police called to Kenwood Avenue on a report of a past breaking and entering into an unlocked vehicle. The woman filing the report claims her car was entered and gone through but nothing was taken.
@8:20 p.m.: Police respond to Pine Street for a report of a past breaking and entering. Resident claims they came home to find the doors open. Nothing reportedly stolen. Police to investigate.
@10:03 p.m.: Police called to Pond Street on a report of a lost dog. A man told police that his white and brown pitbull, which had a blue collar and goes by the name Sky, got loose. No report of the dog being located.
Jan. 8
@2:16 p.m.: Police called to Cherry Avenue on a report of a past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle. A purse was reportedly stolen and a credit card used. Police to investigate.
@2:28 p.m.: Police receive a call of a possible past breaking and entering at an Isabella Street home. Police to investigate.
Jan. 9
@9:11 a.m.: Police called to Leisure Lane apartment for a report that an unauthorized transaction of $50 was made at an Apple store on Dec. 3. Log entry only and no investigation to follow.
@10:01 a.m.: Police respond to the area of Main Street and North Street on a report of a motor vehicle crash. No tows and no one taken to the hospital.
@1:06 p.m.: Police receive a call about a lost ring at the on Main Street on Jan. 6. Log entry only and no investigation to follow.
@3:10 p.m.: Police called to on Franklin Street for a report of four high school age kids smoking marijuana. However, the report was unfounded.
