Police Log: Stoneham Man Arrested, Stolen Jewelry and a Gunshot?

At 7:32 a.m. Oct. 17, Stoneham Police responded to Brookline Police headquarters to take a man into custody. Joseph Donovan, 34, of 200 Park Terrace Dr., Stoneham, was arrested on warrants charging him with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault.

@9:08 p.m.: Police called to Hong Kong City for a report of possible counterfeiting. The caller claimed the person passed counterfeit money, according to police. Police to file a report.

@7:28 a.m.: Police called to the area of Main and Marble Streets on a report of a minor motor vehicle crash. Drivers exchanged insurance paperwork, according to police.
@1:27 p.m.: Police responded to Round' Hardware on a report of possible shoplifting. Officers couldn't locate the alleged shoplifter. Police to file a report.
@2:38 p.m.: Police called to the area of Ellen Road and Franklin Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Winchester Hospital.
@7:45 p.m.: Police responded to North Street on a report of a gunshot. The caller claimed they heard a single gun shot sound from the apartment complext near the 99 Restaurant, according to police. The caller told police they would wait near Main and North Streets, according to police. No evidence of a gunshot in the area, according to police, noting that it may have been something thrown into a nearby Dumpster.
@8:17 p.m.: Police called to Clearview Road on a report of a larceny. The caller claimed that jewelry had been stolen from their home, according to police.
