POLICE LOG: Stoneham Man Arrested Twice in Three Days

At 6:09 p.m. on March 27, Stoneham police respond to Cottage Street on a report of a domestic assault. Louis Romani, 33, of 3 Lucy St., Stoneham, allegedly led police on a foot pursuit before being located in a Dumpster behind . He was charged with assault and battery.
At 8:45 a.m. on Sparhawk Way on March 29, Romani allegedly violated a restraining order by making contact with the victim to pick up his dog at her residence. He was last seen on Citation Avenue wearing a black Boston Bruins t-shirt and black pants. He was located next door and taken into custody on charges of violating an abuse prevention order and carrying a dangerous weapon.

March 20
@10:54 a.m.: Police respond to Main Street on a report of solicitors in the roadway. At 1:04 p.m., solicitors were reportedly warned by police to not interfere with traffic at the intersection of Elm and Main Streets.The solicitors were told to maintain safety with traffic in that area. Twelve minutes later, aggressive solicitors near Elm and Main Streets were told by police to stop for the day.

@12:10 a.m.: Police receive several calls about a motor vehicle that crashed into a tree near Eustis and Spring Streets. One person was transported to Wakefield and another declined treatment.
@12:27 p.m.: Police called to Montvale Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The victim's car was reportedly struck while parked. A note was left on the windshield of the suspect's vehicle to contact police. Police to investigate.
@2:22 p.m.: Police respond to the on a report of stolen video equipment. On March 27, police arrested Robert Merrow, 21, of 38 Park Dr., Woburn, and charged him with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and larceny over $250. Merrow reportedly stole more than $6,000 worth of 's equipment, sold it to a business owner who then attempted to sell it online via Craigslist, according to police. However, a Stoneham Community Access employee tipped off police that he may have found the stolen equipment posted on the website, so officers arranged for a meeting to purchase the equipment. It was then that the business owner told police he allegedly purchased the equipment from Merrow, who was later arrested.

March 21
@6:22 p.m.: Police called to Route 93 northbound before of Montvale Avenue for a two-car accident. No one was reportedly transported to the hospital.
@7:46 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report a lost or stolen license plate on Middlesex Road. Police entered the missing plate number into the database.
@11:48 p.m.: Police respond to Redstone Shopping Center on a report of loud power washer. Cleaning crew said they would be done shortly, adding that work can't be done during the day. At 12:08 a.m. on March 22, another noise complaint was filed and the crew was told to stop cleaning for the night.
March 22
@2:54 a.m.: Police respond to Calthea Street on a report of a vehicle rollover. The suspect fled on foot, but was later caught. Police seeking a summons.
@9:33 a.m.: Police called to Montvale Avenue on a report of a break-in overnight at LPS Design Associates, Inc. The front door was reportedly broken into. Police to investigate.
@3:38 p.m.: Police respond to Benton Street on a report of stolen jewelry. Police to investigate.
@4:24 p.m.: Police called to the area of for a report of kids causing problems. An officer moved the large group of kids along. The kids were reportedly "trashing the area."
@8:08 p.m.: Police respond to Park Terrace Drive on a report of a vehicle that may have hit the rear of a residence on that road. The vehicle in question was found with extensive damage. The building had minor damage. Management of the building was notified. Police to investigate.
March 23
@10:52 a.m.: Police called to Colonial Court on a report of stolen jewelry. The jewelry was reportedly taken on March 12. Police to investigate.
@11:46 p.m.: Police receive a call about a dead hamster found in a cage at Broadway Field. DPW notified.
@1:20 p.m.: Police called to Christopher Street on a report of a woman's son being harassed on Facebook. Police to investigate.
@2 p.m.: Police respond to the area of on Montvale Avenue for a report of an ill raccoon. At 3:27 p.m., the raccoon was found sitting on the steps at 62 Montvale Ave. The took the sick raccoon to Stevens Street for euthanization.
@2:53 p.m.: Police called to Franklin Street on a report of a past hit and run. Police to investigate.
@3:54 p.m.: Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Central Street. One vehicle was towed from the scene, while the other was going to be towed following arrangements made by the owner.
March 24
@2:02 a.m.: Police receive multiple calls about a single-car crash on Elm Street. , as the driver had to be taken to a Boston hospital via MedFlight.
@9:23 a.m.: Police called to Evans Road for a report of a vehicle vandalized by spray paint overnight. Police to investigate.
@4:19 p.m.: Police respond to High Street on a report of a a vehicle that was vandalized. Police to investigate.
@6:02 p.m.: Police called to Green Street on a report of an iPod that was stolen. Police to investigate.
March 25
@12:20 p.m.: Police called to Kenwood Avenue for a report of a fight between two men. Sean Hanson, 22, of 9 Mauriello Dr., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
@2:01 a.m.: Police respond to Fellsway East and Ravine Road area for a report of a motor vehicle crash. State police were notified. One person was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
@8:07 a.m.: Police respond to Main Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident. A Ford Explorer was towed from the scene. Two people declined medical treatment.
@8:30 a.m.: Police called to Main Street on a report of a hypodermic needle found in the area. Police officer recovered the needle and disposed of it properly.
@12:40 p.m.: Police respond to Sunset Road for a report of a sewer back-up in a home. DPW callman notified.
March 26
@1:34 p.m.: Police called to B.J.'s to check on person at that location. Daniel Lepore, 29, of 16 Montbatten Road, Billerica, was arrested on a warrant charging him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a motor vehicle equipment violation.
March 27
@8:46 a.m.: Police called to a Franklin Street property about a dead raccoon. DPW couldn't remove the raccoon because it was on private property. The homeowner was told what to do the resolve the issue.
March 28
@9:38 a.m.: Police called to the area of Pond and South Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment. State police notified. Two people were taken to Winchester Hospital.
@4:12 p.m.: Police respond to a minor two-car accident on Main Street. One driver left prior to an officer's arrival. No injuries reported. Paperwork was exchanged.
March 29
@11 a.m.: Police called to for a report of harassment/bullying. Police to investigate.
@11:53 a.m.: Police respond to Main Street on a report of an air machine stolen. The air machine has been missing since December 2011. Police to investigate.
@1:17 p.m.: Police called to a two-car accident on Main Street. The accident happened at the turnaround in front of the Hess gas station. No injuries reported. Assisted with paperwork.
@1:46 p.m.: Police called to Crescent Avenue on a report of a hypodermic needle found in the street. The needle was returned to the police station for proper disposal.
@5:20 p.m.: Police respond to a car crash in the area of Spring and Washington Street. No one was reportedly taken to a hospital. No tows reported.
