POLICE LOG: Stoneham Man Charged With Violating Harassment Prevention Order

At 11:43 a.m. Aug. 14, Stoneham police responded to Gerald Road for a report of a possible violation of a harassment prevention order. Officers located the suspect at a nearby residence. Martin Wantman, 61, of 20 Gerald Road, Stoneham wa arrested and charged with violation of a harassment prevention order.

@8:49 a.m.: Police were called to Washington Street for a report of two hypodermic needles found on the ground near a driveway. The items were picked up and disposed of properly.
@10:08 p.m.: A man visited the police station to report a man urinating near his property on Hancock Street. Police to investigate and file a report.

@12:25 p.m.: Police responded to the former East School field on Beacon Street for a report of vandalism. The caller reported kids throwing baseballs through the windows of the school, according to police. Officers spoke with the kids' parents, and they were unable to determine if the kids present caused any damage because most of the windows at the school were already broken. No arrests reported.
