POLICE LOG: Stoneham Officer Responds to SWAT Team Request in Salem

Check out what types of calls kept the Stoneham Police Department busy recently.

The big news for the day for Stoneham's finest was when when a Stoneham SWAT officer responded to this that took place in Salem around 4 p.m. Aug. 7.

@1:11 a.m.: Police got a 911 call about a possible break-in attempt going on at a resident's house on Montvale Avenue. Police responded to learn that the party attempting to break in had a friend in the building and was attempting to get his attention, not break in. 

@10:49 a.m.: George Goodwin, 17, of 25 Stevens St., Saugus, was arrested on a warrant charging him with leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury. While the warrant was being served, Stoneham police charged Goodwin with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

@2:39 p.m.: Police responded to call about a resident's report on Woodland Road that money had been stolen from their apartment over the course of a month.

@4:48 p.m.: Police called to Summer Street where a resident reported that trash had been strewn all over the street by an unknown party and was causing a minor road hazard.

@6:54 p.m.: There was a domestic disturbance police responded to on Spring Street where a mother didn't want her son entering her house. The situation was handled peacefully.
