POLICE LOG: Stoneham Officers Send a Pair of Dumpster Divers Home Empty-Handed

On March 10 at 9:45 a.m., Stoneham Police respond to Montvale Avenue for a report of a larceny in progress. Two white men in a truck parked at the loading dock were reportedly Dumpster diving for scrap metal before police sent them on their way empty-handed.

@2:26 p.m.: Police respond to a motor vehicle crash on Central Street. No injuries reported, and minimal damage done to the vehicle.

@6:16 p.m.: Police called to Central Street on a report of a two-car accident. No injuries reported. Officer assisted with insurance paperwork swap between drivers.

@11:51 p.m.: Police respond to a Montvale Avenue apartment on a report of a domestic between roommates. One roommate reportedly hit the other before leaving the apartment for the night. Police to investigate.

@10:03 a.m.: Police respond to a Central Street apartment complex on a report of two people trapped in an elevator. Both individuals were freed and unharmed.

@11:18 a.m.: Police receive a call about a water main break on Avalon Road. DPW to handle.

@1:58 p.m.: Police called to the area of Main Street and Montvale Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The registered owner of the one vehicle towed from the scene is expected to be summonsed to court.

@3:04 p.m.: Police called to Cricklewood Drive on a report of vandalism. A dark gray four-door sedan sped up the road, tore up the sidewalk at neighbor's property before speeding away. No arrests reported.
