POLICE LOG: Two Stoneham Men Accused of Assault and Battery in Separate Incidents

Police arrested two Stoneham men on assault and battery charges in two separate cases, according to police logs.

At 12:46 a.m. May 25, police were called to Oak Street for a repot of a domestic disturbance. The victim claims they were assaulted by their brother. Brendan McSweeney, 25, of 58 Oak St., Stoneham, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

At 6:57 a.m. May 25, police responded to a Central Street apartment on a report of a past domestic. The victim claimed the domestic assault and battery occurred three days ago. The victim was taken to the police station for an interview, while the suspect remained at the apartment. Officers returned to the apartment and arrested Andres Silva, 36, of 180 Central St., Stoneham, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

@1:52 p.m.: Police called to Route 93 northbound and the Fallon Road on-ramp area for a report of a motor vehicle crash. No injuries or tows reported.

@3:02 p.m.: Police respond to William Street for a report of a past assault and battery. Police to investigate.

@4:10 p.m.: Police called to Main Street on a report of two kids fooling around with a fire box in the area. The kids couldn't be found in the area, but were later located in the area of Lindenwood and Rowe. A parent came to pick up one of the kids.
