Police Log: Woman Assaulted While Walking Her Dog in Stoneham

About 3 p.m. Jan. 2, Stoneham Police responded to Walsh Avenue on a report of an assault. A woman claims she was assaulted while walking her dog in the area. Police are investigating the incident.

@7:48 a.m.: Police informed of icy roads in the Pine Street area. DPW notified.

@6 p.m.: Police received a call from a man on Summit Road who claimed his iPod had been taken from his vehicle. However, he called back moments later, saying he found the iPod.

Jan. 2

@10:38 a.m.: Police called to Colonial Park Elementary School for a report of kids trespassing on the roof. Police spoke with three 12-year-olds and told them not to do it again.

@1:21 p.m.: Police respond to Cedar Street on a report of a hit-and-run in a parking lot. Police to investigate.

@4:26 p.m.: Police called to Franklin Street on a report of a man stuck in an elevator between floors. The man was released from the elevator.

Jan. 3

@7:15 a.m.: Police called to Route 93 southbound near the Sheepfold on ramp for a report of a motor vehicle fire. Medford Fire Department was already on scene upon arrivel. The fire was extinguished.
