Proclamation For Cameron Bain
Select Board proclaims that Nov. 18 is Cameron Bain Day in Stoneham.

Whereas Cameron Bain has been a resident of the Town of Stoneham for 60 years, and
Whereas Cameron and his wife have raised a family of eight children in Stoneham, and
Whereas Cameron was a 20 year member of the Army National Guard, was 2015 Memorial Day Parade Grand Marshal, and is also active in veteran causes, and

Whereas in the 1960s, Cameron helped found the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham and raise funds for a dedicated facility, served on its board and as its president and is still involved to this day, and
Whereas Cameron has a legacy of community service through his commitment to the Town on
committees such as the Planning Board and the Memorial Day Parade committee, and

Whereas in 1988, Cameron proposed to create a rail trail along the railroad right-of-way recently
acquired by the Town, and spent the next 30 years working on the project, and
Whereas the Greenway that he envisioned is now constructed and usable by the citizens of this town and other towns, thus enriching the community for all citizens,
The Select Board of the Town of Stoneham declares Sunday, November 18, 2018 to be Cameron Bain Day.
