Stoneham Target Grand Opening Date Announced

You've seen the progress from a distance as Target turned the former Shaw's Supermarket into its fourth Boston area small-format store at Redstone Plaza. Now you can see it up close.

Target announced Tuesday it will hold its grand opening on Sunday, July 23. Prior to the grand opening the ribbon cutting ceremony will be held July 18.

The 48,000 square foot store will offer men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel and accessories, an assortment of baby care products, toys, health and beauty, a curated selection of home offerings, portable technology products, groceries and more. The new Redstone Plaza Target store services will include CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, Target Mobile and Order Pickup.

In celebration of the Stoneham-Redstone Plaza store's opening, three local nonprofits will be given grants of $6,000 this month.

Target said in a release that it will employ approximately 80 people at the store.
