UPDATED: Clerk: Pistol-Toting Gunman Stole Money from the Stop N Save in Stoneham

Store clerk believes armed gunman to be the same person who robbed the convenience store two months ago.

Police are looking for two men who reportedly robbed a convenience store on Franklin Street Saturday night.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Stoneham police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Stop N Save, 140 Franklin St.

“We got robbed by a gunman who I think robbed us two months ago,” according to a store clerk. “He (was) wearing a net-like mask.”

When the store was robbed previously, the suspect was wearing a Joker mask, according to the clerk.

“It was him. I can tell," claimed the clerk. "The gun is the same, the height is the same (and) the voice was the same. We didn’t get the (license plate) number of the car, but it was the same (vehicle)."

The gunman, who stole an undisclosed amount of money and no products, reportedly fled in a black Nissan Altima heading in the direction of Stoneham High School.

The gunman was carrying a big pistol, according to the clerk, but did not fire any rounds or injure anyone with it, as they complied with his demands.

A patrolman on scene declined to comment, referring Stoneham Patch to the media spokesperson.

As of 8:47 p.m., three cruisers were on scene. Moments later, officers could be seen talking outside and pointing to surveillance cameras. Two of the three officers were also using flashlights to examine the parking lot area, possibly looking for evidence.
