Police Searching for Suspect in Wakefield Bank Robbery

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Wakefield Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Wakefield Police have put out a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) for a black Honda with Maryland plates (partial plate 5FF), driven by a white male about 6-foot-3, according to radio transmissions.

The man allegedly passed a bank teller a note saying he had a weapon, which was not shown at the time of the incident, according to the scanner report. A dye pack reportedly exploded after the suspect received the money.

The robbery reportedly took place at East Boston Savings Bank, but it is unclear how much money was stolen.

The vehicle was reportedly last seen in Stoneham.
