Stoneham Tanning Salon Robbed at Gunpoint

There was an armed robbery at a Stoneham tanning salon Thursday night, according to a scanner report.

At around 8 p.m. Thursday, Stoneham Police responded Sunset Tanning, 62 Montvale Ave., for a report of an armed robbery, according to the report.

A male suspect showed a handgun, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the salon, according to the report.

This is the second armed robbery in Stoneham this week, including one Tuesday night at DB Mart convenience store.

The tanning salon was closed upon arrival. Police declined to comment on the case Thursday night, but did say no arrests have been.
