Stoneham Police Department addressed concerns related to two students providing officers with information that potentially posed a danger to the high school.

No "credible threat" was made against on Dec. 9, according to a Stoneham Police Department press statement.

"The Stoneham Police Department was provided information by a juvenile and an older teen who wanted to report the content of a conversation that they were made aware of that potentially posed a danger to Stoneham High School," said Police Chief Richard Bongiorno in the statement. "Due to the nature of this report, the Stoneham Police Department immediately contacted the administration of Stoneham High School and initiated a thorough investigation.

"After multiple interviews and other investigative measures, it was determined that no credible threat to the school ever existed."
