“The Judiciary Committee receives close to a thousand bills, many of which are some of the
most controversial and sensitive pieces of legislation. Representative Day’s experience as a trial
attorney and his keen understanding of the issues from his two terms on the Judiciary Committee
will lend itself well to his new position,” said Representative Claire Cronin (D-Easton), House
Chair of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary. “I congratulate Representative Day on this
prestigious appointment and I look forward to continuing work with him.”

“I am eager to continue to build on the great work we have done in the Judiciary Committee
under Chairwoman Cronin's leadership,” continued Representative Day. “I am equally honored
by my other committee assignments and anticipate a very busy session ahead.”

Representative Day was also elected unanimously to sit on the influential Joint Committee on
Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, the House Committee on Personnel and
Administration and he returns for a third term on the powerful House Committee on Post Audit
and Oversight.
